The Real Week Fifty: Jesse Sample’s Freak of the Week “Separate”
By Staff on December 17, 2025
Jesse Sample’s Freak of the Week airs EVERY WEDNESDAY at 6pm Eastern ONLY on RadioRadioX.com
This is Jesse Sample. How has all the noise from our limitless sources of media effected our relationships? I can be in a room with people that I’ve known my whole life and somehow certain topics are off limits. When these topics come up, the tension becomes palpable. But these are I know and who know me. Cousin! It’s just me, Jesse. You know who I am and how I live my life. What happened? I don’t feel like it was always like this.
When I’m standing in line at Hannaford, I sometimes think I can tell what someone believes based on how they cut their hair or the clothes they wear. I wonder what they think of me. What assumptions do they make? When we make these assumptions, what else are we adding to the package? How do we assume they feel about a certain issue?
Most people that I encounter are pretty easy to get along with. If the guy behind the register truly thought I was a monster, would he say “take it easy” after he was done bagging my groceries. Who is this other? I don’t often see them in my day to day. Is it possible these others mainly exist online and in the media?
