This is Jesse Sample. Do you ever have lazy days? The kind of day where you want to take you time with your coffee and take to the world in your most comfy track suit. I get days like that sometimes. They are the kind of days where you want to watch a movie out of the corner of your eye and slowly fold your laundry. With nothing to say and nowhere to be, we find peace in the simple act of existence.

This couldn’t be every day…or could it? There are days when that schedule gets tight. On these days, I am actively engaging with the world. There are things to gain and things to learn. I’ve got something to prove, if only to myself. I’m going to run the play again and refine things. With this pressure comes a degree of excitement. Sometimes the simple writing appointment with a friend can deliver on the emotional hit that Las Vegas promises. The wild charge of an Italian sports car in a city of light. Those days are good.

But sometimes, I wake up and look out into the world and then quietly begin to navigate my way through it. On these days, I am content with my small role in the universe. I go into the grocery market and take my time finding the perfectly ripened avocados. These days are good too.
