High ‘Fever’: An Interview with
Graveyard’s Joakim Nilsson

I’ve been a fan of Graveyard ever since stumbling upon them at a music store’s closing
in 2014. Since then, I’ve been hooked by the Swedish quartet’s blues-soaked, vintage
metal sound. They are the arbiters of a modern hard rock revival – if The Doors and
Black Sabbath joined forces, Graveyard would be the likely product.
Guitarist and singer Joakim Nilsson is often the face and voice of the band, as he is one of
two of Graveyard’s original members. I was so excited to speak with him about their
seventh album, Fever and many personal favorites from the band’s discography.
The release of Fever will be supported by a Scandinavian co-headline tour with Blues Pills,
followed by extensive European and UK touring throughout 2027. We also reminisced on
Graveyard’s recent South American tour with Danko Jones.
