Stones Alive, a Rolling Stones tribute act, opened for the maiden show of Sweet Leaf (A Tribute to Black Sabbath) at Putnam Place on November 14. They played to a full crowd, the largest crowd I have seen in a while. And the best part? Many, many local musicians there to support the bands! AS IT SHOULD BE!

Shoegaze icons My Bloody Valentine performed their first show in seven years. They billed it as an “Isn’t Anything Warm-Up show. The show happened Wednesday, November 19th, at The National Stadium in Dublin. This show pre-dated the Saturday show, which is going to be at Dublin’s 3Arena.

The Prince of Darkness had at one obscure point dueted with Madonna, a remix of the “Was-(Not-Was) song “Shake Your Head.” Said prince, of course, was the late Ozzy Osborne. The song was featured on the 1983 Was (Not Was) album, Born to Laugh at Tornadoes.
Louis Osborne, eldest son of Ozzy from his first wife, explained.
“Was (Not Was) did a duet with Madonna,” explained Louis. “It was written for Madonna and Was (Not Was), and it was when dad was pumping in the early ’80s and so was she and she really fucking popped and then didn’t give approval on the record.”
He added, “So that was canned. And then when Kim Basinger was having that big acting moment in the middle of her career in the ’80s, they decided they were going to try and make her a pop star, as well. So they tracked Kim Basinger on it instead.”
The Tiny Desk concert series hosted its first ever offering from international act The Goo Goo Dolls. The came by with four songs going back over their careers. They opened with the Dizzy Up the Girl track “Slide,” and followed that with “Feel the Silence” off of Let Love In. “Not Goodbye (Close Your Eyes),” and “Iris.” followed up.
Goo Goo Dolls does have a residency at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, over five rates.

Immersive exhibition brings the unforgettable story of the RMS Titanic to life at Armory Studios NY in Schenectad
SCHENECTADY, NY (November 21, 2025) — Following the success of immersive exhibitions like Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Dinos Alive! and The Art of the Brick, a powerful new experience is set to make its Capital Region debut. Titanic: An Immersive Voyage – Through the Eyes of the Passengers will open at Armory Studios NY in downtown Schenectady on Saturday, November 29.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience transports guests deep into the world of the RMS Titanic with more than 200 artifacts, dramatic room recreations, 360-degree projections, video animations and an unprecedented virtual-reality tour of the ship’s wreck site located 2.5 miles beneath the Atlantic. Visitors will witness the ship’s construction, explore its opulent halls, stand before the iceberg, and experience its final hours through breathtaking immersive galleries.
Presented by Exhibition Hub, Titanic: An Immersive Voyage – Through the Eyes of the Passengers has thrilled visitors throughout the globe in cities including New Orleans, Cincinnati, Antwerp, Copenhagen, and Singapore.

Titanic: An Immersive Voyage – Through the Eyes of the Passengers features life-size replicas, rare items connected to the Titanic’s brief but legendary history, and a moving short film that delves into the human stories of love, loss and courage aboard the ship. VIP ticket-holders will also have access to the exclusive virtual-reality journey to the wreck.
The experience takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes and is open to all ages. Ticket prices start at $27.90 and are available online at this link. Discounted tickets are also available for seniors, students, military veterans, families, and larger groups. Tickets are also available at the door.

I don’t give a lot of time to thinking about my inevitable demise. At my age, I’ve wracked enough virtue and vice to secure my ticket one way or the other. As far as my physical affairs, and by this, I mean what I want with my arrangements and all, because if you throw me on a garden and let nature take its corpse-, I mean course. Because I’m not going to be there. I don’t think. I hope not, anyway.
And you know there’s a reason I bring this up. The city of Paris, in an effort to give people a chance to be buried in a historic city cemetery, are offering people a chance to take over abandoned graves for themselves if they pay the restoration cost.
I can only imagine that a well heeled and well dead Parisian’s family had been sold the greatest bit of false advertising to ever hit the free market: “eternal rest.”
If you want to “ghost up” a cemetery, this is how you do it. And there are religions that worship ancestors who believe that if you’re forgotten, that’s like a second death. So we’re sort of killing these people again so someone can have a vanity grave.
Again, and I can’t say this enough, this is how ghosts are made. Ghosts having to share a mausoleum like brothers. Or maybe more like inmates sharing a cell. I’m picturing the end times in a Paris cemetery, a thousand years from now a hundred resurrected people just show up in a mausoleum designed for two. Epic. Freakin.’ Cage-matches to get out.
My dad watches television from his urn on our sideboard, so graveyards are probably not in my cards. And honestly if they’re long dead and the grave is abandoned, the ghost might welcome the chance to catch a roomie… and a glow up.
Jason Bonham and his band played to a packed house Wednesday (11/19) night at the Palace Theatre in Albany, New York and I (Rob Smittix) was there taking it all in.
November 19th was my Dad’s birthday and he was gifted 3 tickets and a VIP parking spot at the Palace Theatre for his special night out with his sons. It’s not too often that my brother and I get to hang out with my Dad (due to life always getting in the way), so when Dad told us that he had tickets for all of us to go to Jason Bonham’s concert on his actual birthday, we were very excited.
After we all got out of work, we grabbed a few slices of Hawaiian and white broccoli pizza to fil the void in our bellies. We arrived at The Palace just in time for the show. Of all of the press, all-access and VIP passes I’ve obtained over the years, I’ve never obtained VIP parking like we did last night! So kudos to Dad for that one, we parked in the lot right behind the tour buses. After picking up our tickets at the box office, we found our seats right as the music began.
The theme of this show was that Jason and his band were playing the Physical Graffiti album in it’s entirety but in their own chosen song order. It was really a treat to hear Jason tell stories about his father and Led Zeppelin between songs. Jason mentioned that he never got to tell his father how much of an influence he was to him and that this tribute was his way of doing so. As I sit next to my own father on his birthday, I would hope that my Dad realizes how much he means to his sons.
Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening was a phenomenal concert and I highly recommend if this tour comes to your town that you grab a ticket and if you’re lucky enough to score a VIP parking spot as well, then hats off to you!

Get ready for a night of authentic Grateful Dead music as The Wheel brings their rockin’ spin to the music we all love.
Chali 2na and Cut Chemist have been inseparable for 35 years. It all started in 1987 when they formed their first group UNITY Committee just a couple years after Chali move from Chicago to Los Angeles.
In 1994 they combined forces with local rap group Rebels Of Rhythm to form Jurassic 5. Although J5 was in full swing making music and doing shows, Chali and Cut also were founding members of the fusion Latin group Ozomatli in 1995. Since then the two have been busy with both groups and still managed to find time to separate and embark in solo careers on the side. Cut Chemist went on to do remixes and features for such acts as DJ Shadow, Less Than Jake and Blackalicious. Chali also explored his rap prowess with such acts as Roots Manuva, Lyrics Born, Slightly Stoopid and Galactic just to name a few. Separately they also landed solo deals with Interscope and Warner Brothers.
For over 25 years, Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem have uplifted audiences across the country with their joyful, genre-blurring blend of American roots music. With rafter-shaking harmonies, grooves that nod to New Orleans, and an inventive mix of fiddle, guitars, and “junk percussion,” their sound is both soulful and celebratory—what Acoustic Guitar calls “tight, with stylish, unexpected choices.”

“The Avakian Duo” is a brother/sister act, kind of like “The Carpenters” of the theatre organ world. Nathan lives in Philly and is a professional lighting designer as well as a world-renowned silent film maker who composes instrumental tracks plus organ, including exciting rhythms and instrumentation. Claire is a NYC actress and singer with a wide vocal range, blessed with a beautiful tone, pitch, and diction plus a nice presentation.
Lucy Kaplansky is an acclaimed singer-songwriter of rare talent, “a truly gifted performer with a bag full of enchanting songs” (The New Yorker) and “the troubadour laureate of modern city folk” (The Boston Globe). She has released nine critically acclaimed albums, two of which were awarded Best Pop Album of the year by the Association for Independent Music. But where she shines brightest is on the live stage.

Anyone who knows me would say that I am an extrovert, and they would be right, for the most part. But this time of year, inspires me to look inward and to focus on the things I like to do when nobody else is around. When it’s cold and dark, I like going for drives, hanging out at home and developing music.

NEW YORK – November 12, 2025 – The Cristian Rivera Foundation held its 16th Annual Celebrity Gala on November 12, 2025. The Cipriani hosted a stunning evening where some of New York City’s elite came together to raise money for a great cause. The foundation fights a devastating childhood disease, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).
DIPG is an inoperable brain stem tumor. This disease is most common in children between the ages of 5 and 10. DIPG accounts for 10-15% of brain tumors in children. Every year, between 200 and 400 children will be diagnosed with this disease.
