On Saturday, July 9th, the Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, once again was home to the GEM Festival – (GEM FEST) aka Glens Falls Entertainment & Music Festival.
The festival is a celebration of art and music, which ran 12 hours! From 10:30 AM – 10:30 PM
Attendees could stroll along the vendors area and see glass-blowing, macrame, painting, even get a tattoo!
Grab a bite to eat from the food truck, and then, cross back and forth between 3 different music area, featuring different genres of music, sure to please every palette.
Headlining was Chestnut Grove, Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band and Brookline.
But that certainly does not diminish the overload of pure talent there.
Including music of: New Saviors, Grape Juice, Brain Medicine, Pardon me?, North Side Sound, The Hauntings, Under the Den, Lock 9, Violence, Beautiful Losers, We’re History, The Erotics, Carolyn Shapiro, E.R.I.E, Terrallite, Reese Fulmr & The Carriage House Band, The Inside Out, Jason Irwin, Angelina Valente, Project Race Car, Seize Atlantis, and Deb Cavanaugh.
The Artists in attendance were Corey Pitkin, Hannah Williams, Sarah Calzada, ALexandria Lindsay, Shelly Fairbanks, Anthony Richichi, Loe Richichi, Jes Turco, Kelsi Lee, Kayleigh Smith,Marta Baxter, Alaina Vooris, Jamie Greene, and Val Jean
The Glens Falls Entertainment and Music festival brings in music fans from outside of the north country and exposes them to how much this city can offer. Speaking with Brian Alvarado, one of the event coordinators, he praised the security staff for keeping the crowds safe, all the musicians and artists, and the many people involved behind the scenes to make this look flawless. I can’t wait to see what he has in the works for next year!
