Recap: Marcus Monroe in Albany (Funny Bone) 03/09/2023 -By: Rob Smittix

I’ve been looking forward to seeing my new favorite comedian Marcus Monroe perform for weeks now. I discovered this comedian/juggler for myself recently through his hilarious Facebook reels and low and behold I then realized that Marcus was bringing his act to our area. I recently interviewed Marcus for our blog to help throw our support around his event (full interview HERE). You see, we do support Marcus Monroe and his comedy routine and just remember that if you are also recently discovering his talent for yourself that we were here before he made it to the next level. I truly believe that Marcus has what it takes to be on top of the comedy game and I am not alone.

First off, Marcus has already been the recipient of The Andy Kaufman Award, Theatre Weekly has said: “A genius of a show, gloriously entertaining,” and the New York Times flat out said: “Monroe is one of the most entertaining performers.” They’re not wrong. So what could I say that could be equally as compelling? Imagine Marcus Monroe’s press kit quoting not only The New York Times but RadioRadioX/Xperience as well. It could be something to the effect of: “Marcus Monroe is the true definition of comedic talent and his throwing skills are almost as impressive as his catching abilities.” – RadioRadioX/Xperience Or? “Non-stop laughter from beginning to end, Monroe entertains audiences in a real and unusual way!” – RadioRadioX/Xperience Or, how about this? “The bar has been set really high, Marcus Monroe pulls his audience in with his witty comedy and mesmerizing juggling skill.” – RadioRadioX/Xperience

One of those should do the trick.

Anyway, what you should take away from this write up is that you’d be doing yourself a disservice if Marcus Monroe is in your town and you don’t get yourself a ticket to his show. I’m talking to you Syracuse! Marcus will be performing next at The Funny Bone in Syracuse March 15th at 7:30pm get your tickets HERE

The show that I just went to see with my brother and his friends was Marcus Monroe at The Funny Bone in Albany this past Thursday night. He brought along his two very funny friends Brittany Carney and Sean Millea. We had a great time and I know you will too. If you still need more convincing watch the highlight video I’ve included below or check out Marcus Monroe’s website HERE.
