The Egg Presents: Yonder Mountain String Band, The Egg, Albany, 8pm
Yonder Mountain String Band, a driving force in roots music for nearly three decades and a key player in the progressive jamgrass movement, kicks off a new chapter with Nowhere Next. Featuring original songs inspired by lived experiences, people, and places that have shaped them, the album is a mix of bluegrass, indie rock, and country with soulful, funky grooves that call for a good time. Their 11th studio album follows the Grammy-nominated Get Yourself Outside (2022), adding depth and momentum to Yonder’s rich musical legacy.

Timbre Coup (pronounced Tam-ber Coo) is a four-piece original prog-rock band formed in Altamont, NY. Set apart by soaring edgy jams and a fierce song writing style, TC has graced the stage at many events including Mountain Jam, SummerCamp Festival, Moedown, Camp Bisco and many others while directly supporting artists such as Dopapod, The New Deal and Papadosio over the years.

Nate Sabat: Nate Sabat is well known to Caffe Lena audiences as the bassist for house favorite Mile Twelve. With upright bass as his sole instrument, Nate crafts wildly intricate arrangements. With original songs rooted in American folk music, he takes full advantage of the never-ending variety of sounds and textures the bass has to offer. GRAMMY-winning cellist Eugene Friesen says, “Nate has so much going for him: The ability to propel any groove with chops and subtlety, a sweet bow sound that can vocalize any melody, fiercely great intonation, and, most importantly, a musical intelligence and intuition that operates with a constant smile.”

HARVEST & RUST returns to THE LINDA-WAMC’S PERFORMING ARTS STUDIO. It’s hard to represent the wide-array of Neil Young’s influential material in one show, but that’s exactly what the band HARVEST & RUST does. Based in Western Massachusetts, HARVEST & RUST often augment their show with other well-known local musicians to reproduce every era of Neil Young’s music. Be it the chart-topping HARVEST material (including Old Man, Heart of Gold, etc.) to the electric explorations of RUST NEVER SLEEPS (Hey Hey My My, etc.), as well as songs from Neil’s time in Crosby Stills Nash & Young and Buffalo Springfield, you’re in for a night of “complete Neil”. And, HARVEST & RUST never plays the same set list twice, which is exactly how Mr. Young does it!

Saratoga and the entire Capital District will be thrilled to learn that A Joyful Noise is back every month this year! This is a soul-cleansing dinner hour of music directed by Soulist Garland Nelson. Nelson leads his musician and singer friends for a late afternoon of joyful noise. Songs range from traditional gospel and contemporary church music to soulful pop classics.
