This is Jesse Sample. We all grow up and walk through this world as adults. Some of us do well in some arenas and some of us struggle in some arenas. How did that happen?

What are things that shaped us? We’ve all sustained wounds in our youth. And if you’re hearing or reading this you’ve survived, but not unscathed necessarily. Things have all healed up funny. The tissues of our lives are scarred and imperfect.

Do you know someone who can’t help but destroy everything around them? They don’t look like they’re having fun, in fact it’s quite the opposite. It’s killing them but they can’t help themselves. Does anyone observe that in themselves?

Can acknowledging these mainly subconscious forces in our lives crack open the window change? I must believe that is possible for myself.

This week’s song is part 2 of a three song Series that was part of my Capstone project for my Songwriting degree from Berklee.
