This is Jesse Sample. Do you ever remember you parents struggling with money problems when you were a kid? They, for whatever reason, might not have had adequate funds to pay for the ideal situation. I’m sure they would have wanted to send you to ski camp, buy you the popular sneaker, and stocked the refrigerator with everything you could have ever wanted to eat or drink. Most parents had to say no, prioritize needs above wants, and perhaps steal from Peter to pay Paul.

Now that most of us are adults, how do we do? Are we calm and responsible in our finances? Can we withstand a market shock, an unexpected auto repair or a political class bent on  robbing us? Do we go over the ledger in our heads, over and over and over..again. Do we worry about if we have enough for the future?

Money is a powerful thing in our civilized world. It’s a form of exchange. What if it were chickens? Would we have chicken problems? Would guys jump to their death out of buildings on Wall Street if the market plummeted in all those chickens became worthless?

This topic deserves some examination because life is precious and time is short and to spend it worrying about money is such an awful tragedy.
