The Park Theater Foundation Announces Sixth Annual Free Summer Concert Series at Crandall Park
GLENS FALLS, NY — The Park Theater Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of its annual free Summer Concert Series at the Crandall Park Bandshell. Taking place every Friday evening from July 10 through August 7, 2026, this highly anticipated five-week series brings an eclectic lineup of local and regional talent to Glens Falls.
Concerts will run from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Designed to enhance the accessibility of the arts within the local community, the series is completely free and open to all ages.
“We are delighted to return to the scenic surroundings of Crandall Park with another incredible lineup of artists for our Summer Concert Series. This free, open-to-all-ages tradition embodies our mission to make world-class arts accessible to everyone in Glens Falls. We invite the community to join us for the soundtrack to an unforgettable summer!” – John Snyder (Executive Director, The Park Theater Foundation)
Friday, July 10 – The Mikes
The Mikes is an all-star Northeast funk and jam supergroup led by powerhouse horn players Mike Oehmen (saxophone) and Mike Bafundo (trumpet). Featuring an elite lineup drawn from The Mihali Band and Connecticut’s premier funk juggernaut West End Blend, the band masterfully fuses soulful jazz melodies, infectious funk rhythms, and explosive, improvisational rock. Renowned for their high-energy chemistry and unpredictable jams, The Mikes deliver a dynamic live experience where no two shows are ever the same.
Friday, July 17 – Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra
Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra is a dynamic 12-piece powerhouse formed in 1980 and led by Bronx-born bassist Alex Torres. Renowned for their explosive, original blend of Afro-Caribbean rhythms — including Salsa, Merengue, and Latin Jazz — the orchestra performs at hundreds of festivals and arts centers annually. The multi-award-winning group has performed for major political figures and shared stages with legends like Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri. Beyond the stage, they are deeply committed to cultural education through New York’s Arts-In-Education program, and their music has been featured extensively across major video games, hit TV series and films.
Friday, July 24 – The E-Block
The E-Block is a premier, multi-award-winning five-piece indie R&B and neo-soul band from Upstate New York’s Capital Region. Describing their unique blend of genres as “indie alien R&B,” the group seamlessly marries the acoustic warmth of traditional singer-songwriter arrangements with a modern, deep-grooving R&B rhythm section.
Friday, July 31 – Tray Wellington
Banjo player Tray Wellington’s approach to the quintessential American instrument is all about looking forward. An International Bluegrass Music Association Award winner, Wellington is critically acclaimed not only for his technical prowess, but also for leveraging his unique point of view to craft a one-of-a-kind voice on the instrument. It’s a feat that’s all too rare in these roots genres that seem to value emulation and regurgitation over all else. Instead, Wellington has time and time again reasserted that his playing style, and all of the many varied and disparate parts that combine within it, is wholly his own – and it’s unconcerned with tradition.
Friday, August 7 – Misty Blues
Misty Blues is a 2019 International Blues Challenge finalist from Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Fronted by lead singer Gina Coleman, the band masterfully blends original and traditional blues with hints of jazz, soul, funk, and tent-revival gospel. Over a quarter-century career, they have released 17 albums with global airplay, opened for contemporary blues artists like Tab Benoit and Mike Zito, and recorded with legends like Eric Gales and Charles Neville. Misty Blues tours internationally, powered by a core lineup of Coleman, Seth Fleischmann, Rob Tatten, Aaron Dean, and Diego Mongue.
