No Fun was the scene of an old fashioned Hootenanny last Friday when Hey Greasy Presents brought a triple header of diverse country music to the large crowd which stood and danced on their beautiful checkered floor!  In Mtns opened, a cosmic country band with local roots and a psychedelia acidy guitar sound. Ma’ Am a country punk band traveled to Troy from Central Pennsylvania, Singer/Guitarist Arealia Lopatic had the classic country look, with cowgirl boots and matching skirt she pairs with songwriter and guitarist Tiger Cabus to write their original songs, they have a horn player Dan Thomas and Jeremy Mertz on bass they have released a six song EP Cant Talk Being Chased. The creative influences include Neil young , The Dixie Chicks , Allman Brothers To The Melvins, they had a great vibe and got the crowd primed to go for the Brule County Bad Boys, Troy’s Own Honky Tonk Heroes!

Wall Drug opened the 9 song set followed by Badlands, a new song Someone Else’s Boogie, Truth , 1880 Town, Lay Me Down, Antelope, That ‘ll Do and an encore song Why Have You Been Gone. The old west Cowboy attire makes The Brule County Bad Boys, an authentic 21st century country western delight, very danceable beats to tireless rhythms, yes I am one of the biggest fans and love No Fun’s space and checker board floor, this is some fun for your foot stomping country ass tendencies to explore!

I love the Bad Boys and so did the crowd, they played a nine song set to a wild and Honkybilly yeehaw crowd, yours truly Peggy Of Troy was the Queen Of The Rodeo, with my signature Pink Hat, I Wear The Pink and Black for my love of the Man In The Black! The Boys released their first Album, Chamberlain last summer! Josh’s vocals and guitar kept time with Zack’s lead, Tex And Buckley formed the rhythm section which did not miss a beat and Benny had the  harmonica on point all my night!
