The second Upstate Punk Rock Flea Market was a tremendous success. It was a revolving crowd from noon until six and it’s always warms my heart to see so many folks with green and purple hair mixing it up with the hardcore and punk shoppers. What a great and unique variety of vendors, from records to taxidermy and tattooed pig skins to vintage clothing and accessories. It was 98 degrees on this Albany Sunday afternoon and the cool people came inside to cool off and browse.
I’ll leave you with this. Flea Markets normally have an old moth ball stench and usually cater to the old ladies that smoke in bingo halls. The Upstate Punk Rock Flea Market however, welcomes all but may scare the shit out of your grandmother and her chatty friends, this is truly a place for the cool crowd!
