2024 WEEK ONE Jesse Sample’s FREAK OF THE WEEK “A 7 IN CHARGE”

“This is Jesse Sample. For week 1 of 2024, I decided to go with something simple, short and sweet. It’s a 3 track guitar arrangement called “a seven in charge.” The whole composition is centered around an A#maj7 and all of the other chords are 13 chords (C#13, B13, and G#13). I considered how 7’s are lucky and 13’s are usually unlucky. I wrote this with a sense of optimism about the year to come and reflected on how 13s come and go but the that Major 7 still runs the show. He’s in charge.
