Jimmy Barrett’s Christmas Wish List

Dear Santa,

Here is my Christmas list.

I’d like The Figgs to open a show at SPAC. They are one of America’s best bands and hail from Saratoga. Not to mention it just makes good business sense.

Put Super 400 in the Eddie’s Hall of Fame. Incredible songs, musicianship and devotion to the musical community. They are a band respected nationally – and deserve the award.

Put Chandler Travis Philharmonic in the Saratoga Jazz Fest. Chandler and his gang are an astounding live act. Americana is their specialty. Dixieland barbershop, blues, jazz, theatrical, rock n’ roll – they are the most intriguing group I’ve ever seen!

The next time The Fleshtones play Troy the city should give them the keys to the city and declare it Fleshtone Day. Present the award to Bill Milhizer, our very own Troy Boy and America’s greatest rock drummer!

Have Luke McNamee release an album of his own – playing jump blues, blues and classic jazz. He’s played with the Vaughan Brothers, Lou Ann Barton, NRBQ, and Room Full of Blues. Let’s have a great Luke album to salute his skills.
